10 things about me and my work
I get really excited about making people’s homes a lovely place to be in and enjoy getting them excited about it too.
I believe that looking at and ‘seeing’ beautiful things enhances your quality of life and wellbeing.
Prior this chapter in my career, I worked as a florist and ran a studio floristry business for five years, which ignited my love of working with colour palettes and curating colours in unusual combinations. I miss handling those living jewels but I don’t miss the 3am starts.
After working as a florist, I worked for Farrow and Ball and as a painter and decorator, which meant I could think about paint and colour all day and share my enthusiasm for it with others.
I didn’t want to stop doing that, so here we are.Originally trained in languages (Spanish and Italian), the 1000s of paint names across the board are like another language that I love learning.
Never happier than with a paint brush in hand ready to decorate a room at home, looking at a particularly beautiful room in an old building or walking around a special garden.
I love gardening but I do find it very challenging and truthfully, not always very relaxing.
Working with other people and in a team is something I really love but currently striking out on my own again, for my sins - so I’m always open to hearing about ways to work together or collaborate so do get in touch
My approach is considered but enthusiastic and I hope to carry out all creative work with integrity.
Unrelated things that bring me happiness; swimming in the sea, ice, cutting flowers from the garden, seafood, laughing with family.
